Today was first day of school for Bri and Jimmy. They were bouncing off the walls and we were woefully undercaffinated for the energy. She got gogurt on her shirt before we even left the house and Jimmy got in trouble for not listening in class. Other than all of that, it was a good first day. Minus hot in the school since the main building has no air.
And yes, we got kicked out of both classrooms with no tears. From them or me.
When Bri got home we got the docket. No, my kid hasn't grown up and gone to law school. Yet. This is a a docket:

Its a pendaflex, silly. This is for their homework. No more going through Jonas Brothers folders on a weekly basis. It came with its own set of demands, like everything around here:
Did we mention third grade is where they start giving detentions? So we said, after James and I cleaned out Jimmy's homework folder and took naps, ok we have a labeler, we can handle this.
Where exactly is the labeler? We have three of them. Two I have bought over the years and one that James has for work
After searching a work van and the crawlspace, we found one of the three, and it wasn't working. So after mowing the lawn, I went on the quest for a labeler. Found one for $20 and all the pockets are labeled and we have done our homework.
Now I'm going to put the labeler in a safe location, where the kids won't find it. I think the freezer should be a safe place.
