Yeah, yeah, I know. I've been sick, and we'll leave it at that.
This weekend, I had the house to myself! Yeah, what a miracle. Basically, it was the Indian Princesses campout weekend and the turnout was so low that they turned it into a family event. After the realization I don't have proper winter wear and finding plus sizes is HARD in snow gear, James decided to take both of them so I can have alone time since I'm giving up my scrapbooking weekend to go camping. So I got to do wonderful things like bargain hunting, hanging out with my aunt and uncle and sleeping without being kicked in the kidneys. Glorious fun.
And that was after the action packed weekend I had last weekend. It was all go, go, run, run. But it was good, Bri went to a friend's party for her birthday and got to cheer for the 8th grade basketball game half time. She also said goodbye to the first friend she made at this school last week. Her friend's mom got a new job in Oregon, and her current employer didn't make a good counter offer, so they are out there now with dad coming out as soon as possible. He will be trying to transfer out there and sell their house. Bri is sad her friend is moving, but it will be all worth it for the family. Also, the kids are going to stay in touch throught e-mail and maybe one day we'll get out there to visit.
I've also been trying to get ready for first Communion, helping Terri with her daughter's baby shower and dealing with cookies. Out of those three, cookies have been the LEAST fun. I don't enjoy chasing people down to get things done. Tomorrow I will have the last of the cookies out of my house (minus the donated ones) and then chase after people to get the money collected. Then make deposits to council and get the money to the troop leader for deposit. The other two, when some decisions get made, things will be easier. Right now, both have a lot of things that need to be decided.
So, I'm going to crash and watch the Olympics. Back when I feel a little better. Or things calm down some.
