So, why has Jennifer been so quiet for the past couple days?

I'm just loaded down with a load of blogging material, but when you don't feel good its hard to get up the desire to blog.
So, Thursday, I wasn't feeling great. I've had a migraine since Monday and the Maxalt wasn't working. Wednesday, I saw the neuro again. She gave me a new emergency medication, but she miswrote the dosage on the script, so they would not fill the med at Target until they talked to her office. Thursday, they called us to come pick it up.
Thursday night, James mowed the lawn for me. So I was in the house with the kids. I went downstairs to the family room to see what they were up to. I sat down on the couch and all of a sudden, it felt like someone slammed a 2x4 into my back. Then I got the shakes. Uh oh.
So James came into the house, I laid down upstairs with the kids watching Sponge Bob with me while he went to get my meds since I was also dizzy. He came back and I took a dose while he gave Bri a shower and got them ready for bed.
Friday, I woke up after a HORRIBLE night of sleeping. I gave up and stayed home. I could not stay awake and my back hurt. It hurt to sit up. My throat was bothering me, but I thought it was because my sinuses were draining. James came home and asked me what I wanted to do. I hadn't eaten all day because I was nauseated, I had gotten part of a vanilla shake down for dinner. I gave up and went to Urgent Care. Worse case, I thought I had Swine Flu.
Not even close.
After giving urine, a throat swab (boy those hurt like no tomorrow) after the doc got concerned after seeing how red my throat was, and going throught all the usual questions, I have strep, a UTI and a back muscle pull. They gave me two different antibiotics.
James had poor Jimmy in the waiting room with him. The receptionist put on the Disney channel for Jimmy. But he was not a happy camper waiting for me. We left and James got Jimmy some apple dippers as a treat.
Jimmy fell asleep in the car, thankfully, becuase it took about 20 minutes for them to process my four prescriptions. Somehow, my file at the pharmacy is marked that I am allergic to all NSAIDS. That is not possible. I take asprin, tylenol, Advil all the time. I'm only sensitive to one, and they did not perscribe that one to me. Then I had to verify I am not allergic to sulfa drugs. I've had the two antibiotics before. So we were off to go home and get Jimmy into bed at 11PM.
I'm feeling slightly better today. My back still hurts and my throat hurts so drining coffee is mostly impossible.
Of course, I find out today that the woman who was in charge of the buses, and all of the coordinating day camp details, dropped the ball on the camp shirts and patches so Bri got neither for her last day of camp. They are supposed to be mailing them to us. Grrr.
