hairspray, Gay Days and fish (friendly and fried)

Sorry for no updates from me. Its been crazy and hot and Disney's "High Speed Internet" sucks.
So where did I leave off? Oh yeah, Magic Kingdom. Actually, let's start before the Magic Kingdom. Eema had promised Bri she could go to Bippity Boppity Boutique. We made an appt wens and the only one I could get was 11:30 am on Friday. Can we say crowded? Just a little bit. We got out at 1:30 and went to Fultons because Eema was craving lobster and the rest of us just wanted to eat. (I promise pics will be in a different post of Bri channelling her inner Amy Winehouse).
We attempted to go on Friday and I mean attempted. I had the great idea that since its been so hot here, we would go in the evening. We would go to Downtown Disney during the day since Magic Kingdom had extended hours to 2 am.
Well. So did everyone else have the same idea. We got there and there was people, but we didn't think it would be too bad. We ate dinner at CosmicRay's and rode Winnie The Pooh ride. Then we decided to try and ride another ride, the wait for Dumbo was 30 minutes. We went to meet Mickey, Jimmy has wanted to meet him for so long. That went well, the line at least moved fast enough. Jimmy was so excited. He got to meet another one of his idols. It was getting crowded in toon town, so we decided to ride the railroad. We went to the front of the park and The lines were getting longer. so we rode the train to the back of the park, toontown was crowded. So we went to the front of the park since we were going to go to a couple stores in the front. The parade had started. Oh crap. We decided to get out of there. We found a exit and left the park, so much for doing a lot of stuff. So that ended Friday for us. Saturday, Jennifer had the nutsy idea we would go to Animal Kingdom for the morning and go to EPCOT in the afternoon. First of all, we got a LATE start. I had wanted to be at the park at 8 when the early hours started. Yeah, we got out of the hotel at 9, hadn't eaten breakfast yet. So we got to the park and had to eat. That was fine. But then we had to Fastpast the Kilamajaro Safari ride. So while waiting we watched some drummers performing. Jimmy got a kick out of it, Bri looked like she wanted to fall asleep. We rode the safari and Fastpass was a misnomer. It still was a wait when we got to the waiting area. And in fine Toast Family tradition, Jimmy fell asleep on the Ride. Bri fell asleep on her first trip to Disney on the same ride. It was hot, but we still walked over to Dinoland and let Bri go on one ride. That was it after that.
James took the kids back to the Hotel to cool off and I went to Magic Kingdom to get an outfit for her American Girl doll. She got a Disney Girl doll when she was 2 1/2 and the outfit got ruined. I wanted to get the outfit the doll wears for her AG doll and then the Disney Girl can wear the same outfits. Eema bought her an Ariel outfit for the doll already. So no luck, they do not sell the outfit separate from the doll, so she got a Minnie outfit for her doll.
Oh and did I mention we went during Gay Days? Yes Disney was awash in a a sea of red. Not that I care if someone is or isn't but it got really weird at parts. It seemed either people looking for someone or families.
After that I went back to the hotel to shower again and get ready to go to EPCOT. Eema wasn't feeling well, so she stayed at the room and James and I took the kids. Now it wasn't as crowded as MK, but still. We got to ride Nemo and ate at The Rose and Crown(UK pub), which was awesome, but we had to cut out Before we could get dessert, Jimmy threw a fit, so that ended lunch. And yes, thank you to the family next to us with the daughter who has Downs who gave us some of the DIRTIEST looks I have gotten when Jimmy began to act up, I thought we all we in this boat together? Or just because you went to Holland and I went to India you feel the need to judge me? I don't want to walk a mile in your shoes and I am sure the feeling is mutual.
Then Jimmy didn't want to do anything else, so we offered to ride the monorail. He conked out, no surprise considering he went to bed at 2 am Friday night and that was at the hotel room. We rode it in a loop and then caught the bus back to the hotel. We ate dinner with Eema at the hotel restaurant and went back to the room to pack. Then James realized we hadn't got gifts for some of his family so we went to the gift shop and didn't find much. So we took off for Downtwon disney to get something for Peepa, Cousin J and and Uncle N. We got something for everyone except Uncle N. But they were throwing us out the door, so what else could we do?
Today has been getting up too early (6:45 am Eastern), rushing to pack, checking in at the hotel, drinking coffee while the kids ate Pop Tarts, getting on the bus to the airport, shopping (found something for Uncle N), getting through security (thank God for the Family Lane!), eating at Outback (the Orlando airport is so nice now), an getting on the plane by bribing Jimmy with organic lollipops. We decided we will save our pennies and go back when its much cooler.
Oh and the final fun was we had to circle over Louisville, KY due to weather in Chicago. Between the circling and the storm clouds we flew through, I was nauseous. Ugh, worse than flying over the desert.
That's all, I do have some pics to share and a 7 things I love/HATE about Disney post to write also this week. If you have prayed or sent positive thoughts about my mom, I do appreciate it. She is on CPAP mode for the ventilator and they are weaning back on the morphine to get her to wake up more. She also had a bowel movement so all is working well, so to say. I hope to go see her tomorrow.
